Aug 22, 2024 - Take time now and share the moments and with your loved ones. I took mom out for a celebration dinner at Forks restaurant in Boise, ID. Highly recommend this place. Idaho Rainbow Trout dinner with Grilled Cheese Tomato Basil Fondue, Rosemary Parmesan Idaho Fries, House Salad and a their Signature Warm Butter Cake with Cloverleaf Vanilla Ice Cream. Mmm... Fork follows the "Farm to Fork" approach that includes sourcing farm-fresh ingredients locally, then preparing them in such a way as to enhance, but never cover, their natural qualities.

I've been to Boise twice this summer and have eaten at Fork both times. So far, it's my favorite restaurant downtown. It's nice that they offer indoor and outdoor dining. The staff is polite and the food is served promptly w/o feeling overly rushed. The menu offers many options, from salad & sandwiches to seafood and hearty meat dishes. As a true Farm to table, they also source many of their ingredients & products locally. However, I so much love their pickled mushrooms w pea appetizer/salad that I think I'll order it every time I come. Similarly, the fresh rainbow trout is moist, delicate and falls easily away from the skin. They are delicious, healthy plates. Yet I am a sucker for dessert! The first time we chose the key lime pie which was phenomenal and this time we are the bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. The bread pudding is served in its own little cast iron skillet which keeps it warm. It was amazing and definitely too large for one person. Too bad I didn't get a photo. Guessing I was too concerned that the ice cream would melt too quickly if I waited. Best to make reservations a few days in advance if you plan your go on a weekend day.

I had this place flagged to checkout in Boise and boy was I glad I did. I love places that do farm to table. More importantly just focus on the food purveyors from their region. Fork has done that epically. They have an excellent menu I went simple tho with their Sammy that was just delicious with their own tomato bisque soup. The service was great as I sat at the bar and the location is even better as it takes up a former bank building.

We walked in this perfectly appointed restaurant and was seated promptly. It was modern, clean, and inviting. We ordered drinks and appetizer -- vanilla old fashioned and payette local brewing company beers. Drinks came out quickly and delicious! The shrimp and grits were perfectly sized for the three of us and wowzer -- I'd eat again. Our meals arrived and I had the BCS with smoked salmon. Omgee it was phenomenal. I shared it and still am more than satisfied. Our wait person was kind, helpful, and attentive.

One of my favorite Restaurants in downtown Boise. Was just here last weekend and the service was great and able to get me in without a reservation; food is always amazing and great options all around to choose from. My favorite here is the beef short rib and the house chips and onion dip appetizer.

Came in for a family member birthday. Good service, food, and experience! The tomato basil, chicken salad, and butter cake were really good! They gave the cake as complimentary. The flavors were slightly different but enjoyable. Would definitely want to visit for brunch items! Interior is casual. Will come back!
